A bit about our Rescue:
Carter was an amazing dog, who happened to be a pit bull, who was brought to us for boarding. With the personal situation Carter’s owner was going through, he never returned to take him back. Carter lived his life out with us, here. Carter’s situation started us on a new venture and passion. Making sure all surrendered dogs, regardless of breed, are in safe, loving and caring homes. Dogs that are hard to place due to breed or age will always have a retirement home with us to allow them to live out their lives; happy, properly treated and cared for.
We hope to open up minds and hearts of people, to bring awareness to how remarkable the pit bull breeds are.
We are always in need of additional funding. All of our staff are volunteers so 100% of the donations we receive go to helping the animals. Only with your help can this wonderful work continue. If you wish to make a one time donation, or a monthly contribution you can do so on this page.
We are a registered Canadian Charity. Our registration number is 80997 5394 RR0001.
Much of our day-to-day operations funding comes from the adoption fees that we charge. In addition, we also run fundraising events to raise additional money. However, saving lives is expensive, so we are always extremely grateful for any financial donations that our supporters can make.
We also frequently run in to unforeseen expenses due to additional medical costs or other issues. Check our Sanctuary List to see if we currently have any rescue dogs that are under veterinary care that we could really use some financial help with!
Donations by Paypal or Credit Card can be made on this page.
Carters Forever Rescue and Sanctuary
Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog the world will forever change.

Hi Wendy,
We dropped our dog off yesterday. Her nane is Zoey, grey/white Doxypoo. We have also donated to the cause as well.
I really hope she finds a loving home just like ours has been for her for so l9ng now.
For 12 years she has been a great pet, friend and loving companion for my husband and I, and we know she will become that for another person, couple or family.
Thank You for accepting her !

I learned about your rescue organization through a CBC Radio report on my Google news feed. The story was about Leonard (adopted by the Wilson’s and featured on your Facebook page with “Leonard Time” updates). He reminds me so much of my late dog Charlie, whom I adopted from the SPCA in 2003. Charlie has been gone for 5 years now but we had 13 memorable years together. Thank you for rescuing these beautiful lost souls. With your help they are finding their place in our lives and homes. Keep up the great work!

I learned about your rescue from Thistledown Pet Memorial. Recently my beloved rottweiler, Tilli Bear, crossed the rainbow bridge.
During this tough and sad loss, we came to the loving care of everyone at Thistledown. They became family instantly.
In our after care packet, I saw that a donation was made in Tilli’s name and I read into your rescue.
What you guys do is incredible and with the lack of space I have to house more animals, I wanted to give back to your wonderful charity.
A small donation in Tilli’s honour would’ve been what this sweet girl wanted her mama to do.
Thank you for advocating and loving these beautiful animals.

Today I make a small donation to help with the cost of Willow. It’s not much but every little will help I’m sure. Thank you for helping those loving animals in such a great need.
