Are you a charitable organisation?
Yes, we are a registered Canadian charity. Our registration number is 80997 5394 RR0001.
How do i find out more about what dogs are up for adoption?
You can click on “For Adoption” under the Adoption button above, Or if you’re checking out our Facebook page at www.facebook/CartersRescue you can view our beautiful dogs by clicking on the photo section and then the album page where each dog available for adoption has their own photo album and bio.
What breeds of dogs do you specialise in?
We don’t! We take all types of breeds, we don’t discriminate. We’ve adopted out chihuahuas, great danes, rottweilers, labs, German shepherds, the list goes on. It’s also best to check the Facebook page frequently as we often post pictures of dogs that are due to come to the rescue in upcoming days before a photo album page is ever created. So that means you get a sneak peek of perhaps a potential dog you’d like to adopt.
What do i have to do if i am interested in a dog?
We’re so happy you’re thinking of adoption! Please visit our website at wwww.cartersrescue.com and download the application form under the adoption tab. Then we get in touch with you 🙂
Well thanks for asking! We’re so thankful of any donations that come our way as we couldn’t run Carter’s without them. Any monetary donations we receive go directly to helping the dogs such as much needed supplies (see below), vet bills (which take up a large part of our costs) and dog food etc. If you would like to donate you can visit the website at www.cartersrescue.com/about-us/
Are you in need of any supplies?
We certainly are! Right now we are always on the hunt for:
- Dog beds
- Bleach
- Laundry detergent
- Linens • Leashes
- Martingale collars
- Grain free food
- Volunteers
You’ve just made our day! Can we say how fabulous we think you are 😉 We are always in need of volunteers and foster homes. They are so incredibly vital to our organisation. Without our volunteers it would be very hard to keep the rescue going. We are always looking for those who are able to transport dogs, who can spend time with and walk our pups and those who like to do the mucky jobs- kennel cleaners! Please get in touch by visiting our website and clicking on the Contact Us section or send us a message through the Facebook page.
Carter was an amazing dog, who happened to be a Pitt Bull, who was brought to us for boarding. With the personal situation Carter’s owner was going through he just never returned to take him back. Carter lived his life out with us here. Carter’s situation started us on a new venture and passion. Making sure all surrendered dogs, regardless of breed, are in safe, loving and caring homes. Dogs that are hard to place due to breed or age will always have a retirement home with us to allow them to live out their lives happy, properly treated and cared for.
